What responsibilities does the beneficiary of the subsidy have?

  • The passenger declares under his own responsibility to be a resident in order to receive the subsidy, therefore, he will be personally responsible as regards the management centres of the Ministry of Development in the event of verifying irregularities in the data declared by the passenger.
  • Subsequent to the issue of the allowance air ticket, if the competent authorities of the Administration verify non-compliance as accrediting the right to the subsidy with the criteria established in article 1 of the Royal Decree, the beneficiary will remain subject to the corresponding responsibility in accordance with the stipulations for compliance with the conditions in the regulations governing public aid and subsidies.
  • On request of BINTERCANARIAS or the competent administrative organisms, when a passenger who travels with an allowance air ticket who has not received the online accreditation of residence cannot accredit his identity, foreigner regime or his condition as resident at check-in or boarding, he will not be able to make the trip with an allowance ticket.

Will my data be checked at any time?

BINTERCANARIAS is obliged to check the identity of the beneficiary whose name appears on the ticket at check-in or on boarding, checking thoroughly with his personal documentation, that is to say all the passengers with subsidised tickets.

Therefore, it is essential that all the beneficiaries who travel with an allowance air ticket carry a national identification document, a passport or Alien Identification Number in force, together with his Voter Registration Certificate (trip certificate) in the event that he has not obtained the online accreditation of his residence.

In compliance with the Law, he must accredit his condition of resident at the check-in desks and at the boarding gates; or issue his card through our online Check-in and accredit his condition as resident at the boarding gates.
