Binter brings the Canary Islands and Madeira together with its first regular international route.

On Thursday 10 December the airline Binter Canarias presented its first regular international route in Funchal (Madeira), which will provide a twice-weekly link on Sundays and Wednesdays between Gran Canaria and Funchal, with a minimum fare of 80 ¿ per sector.
The new route was presented at a press conference by Andreas Blass, Director General of Binter Canarias, Pedro Costa, President of Mundovip Portugal, and Luciano Jardín, Director General of Mundovip Madeira. The conference was attended by representatives from a number of the Canary Islands and Portuguese media.
Binter has been operating charter flights between the two destinations since last November, and because of the success of this project (9,000 passengers during the summer season) the airline is now launching this new route to extend its services, which aims to make commercial, economic and social relations between the two island groups easier and promote both of these tourist destinations.
This service will be performed by ATR 72-500 planes with a capacity of 72 seats. Binter currently has a fleet of 13 ATRs, four of which were recently acquired by the airline.
