Canary Islands Intercultural Festival - Senegal Ci la bokk

“Ci la bokk”, which can be translated as “I belong too”, is a festival that highlights interculturality as an enriching element for all societies. This project, born in 2019 in response to the relationship between Senegal and the Canary Islands, which is mainly characterised by migratory flows, has relied on our collaboration since its inception.

Organised and directed by the Senegalese artist Khaly Thioune, who lives in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the event also involves the collaboration of Senegalese and Canarian residents both on the islands and in Senegal. This triple perspective of the festival gives a special sensitivity to the work on the different themes that the meeting focuses on.

Through music, dance, theatre and talks, the Ci la bokk Festival aims to create a socio-cultural impulse between the two regions, while raising awareness of migration and multicultural issues. At Binter Social we are very proud to continue strengthening the links between the Canary Islands and Africa through cultural initiatives such as this.
