10th Encuentro de Timples, La Graciosa Island

La Graciosa has hosted the Encuentro de Timples every year since 2013; this summer, the tenth edition, was closed by the renowned timplist Benito Cabrera, who was also responsible for inaugurating the first edition.

Accompanied by the guitarist Tomás Fariña and the singer Candelaria González from La Laguna, Cabrera performed a repertoire of his greatest hits, entertaining the audience gathered in front of the stage in the Avenida Virgen del Mar in Caleta de Sebo. The new generation of timplists, represented by Alba Chávez, also featured at the start of the day, delighting the audience with her music.

This event is a great opportunity to enjoy the musical culture of our islands in such a highly regarded venue as La Graciosa. Throughout its ten editions it has been attended by residents and visitors as well as timplists and their accompanying musicians who have taken part, each leaving their own personal mark. A project in which Binter collaborates to promote the dissemination of our folklore.
